Freestyle skat 144 mag impeller sizes

Its more difficult to change the load on large hub props so they have to be very close from the factory. There is no publicized information on pumps beyond meaningless names and numbers. Its hard to infer exactly how the pump that Joe Bob is using in his brappomatic will work in other skis...

    SX/SXi/SXi Pro 94 750 sx whats next?

That drypipe was designed for high port SXI cylinders. They become a strong low end pipe when used on low port cylinders. Verify your compression and timing and work on the pump. There is not a lot you can do and still be pump gas safe.

    SX/SXi/SXi Pro 94 750 sx whats next?

The MSD and Timing advance will give better throttle response, thats all. For low speed thrust you will need a modern prop, like a Concord and a 650sx nozzle. Figure out how much full throttle you like to use before you start pumping up compression/timing.

    FX-1 FX1 - Pump Limitations?

A lot less thrust than a SJ for the power.

Super Jet routine maintenance, what to do?

Corrosion is the biggest problem. Do a lengthy dry run and store with the hood propped up slightly. This will get you to the point in 2-3 years where the ski needs a lot of work (that nobody ever does). Doesnt really matter considering that new guys only last a season or two.

    Super Jet 650 vs. 701

Everything is smaller in the 650 cylinder. They can be bored and ported up to (performance wise) where the 701 starts out. 650 cases can work with any cylinder with minor modifications although nobody will use them making them valueless as well.

    Super Jet Carb pump question

Its a plug. The MFG had to clear a way to drill the pilot holes so they made a big hole there and capped it with a freeze plug when they were done.

Super Jet Trying to make that move... Superjet or A/M Hull

How big are you and what exactly do you want to do on a ski? For 6K you can get a very nice SJ with all the goodies. From there its easy to shorten or lengthen the hull/pole to fit. A lightweight hull is great for flat water but harder to stay on top of in surf. Dont get sucked into the A/M...

Super Jet front exhaust coupler, what to use?

Your only option is 5 inch silicone and is is expensive. Parker sells short pieces but $40/foot is a relative bargain considering I paid $35 for 5 inches from Coffmans many years ago.

    SX/SXi/SXi Pro 1987 650sx / 750?

Old skis are worth no more than the sum of their parts. Inspect everything and research the value of the parts. Some of them will bring good money.

    650/X-2 89 or 90 650sx good buy?

You can learn a lot from those ground up projects as long as you actually complete them. Most people here are just riders so thats the only perspective that you hear.

Super Jet 650/701/760 same crank? Converting 650 to 760

The 650-701-760 cranks are dimensionally the same and will interchange. Installing a 61X cyl on 650 cases is a good mod for the $$$, this was popular when 701 first appeared. Inspect your crank before you do anything!! The 650 cases will need to be hogged out slightly to clear the sleeves. High...

That happens because its a stainless bolt in an aluminum housing. Make sure to use marine grease or pipe thread sealant.

Super Jet fiber glass new motor mounts on a sj?

The key is to use the largest diameter inserts possible and prep the surface with 80-120 grit. SMC is polyester and marble dust so it makes a good mechanical bond with epoxy.

    Other Epoxy Resin Storage

The pumps will be fine for short term storage (a week or so), I have seen them work a year later with some epoxies but eventually it will thicken. Alcohol will cut epoxy without damaging anything else, be careful with other solvents. If the epoxy is over about a year old look for white powder at...

    650/X-2 Why Do they Sink?

The rider position and center of gravity is too far forward unless the rider is very big. X2s become more viable with the rider moved aft 6-12 inches. A low bar makes reboarding easy, although its harder on the wrist and shoulders. I think the reason X2s and fixed steers in general arent as...

    loose vs tight pole???

Ultimately your back will tell you how to run your pole. It seems like everyone is using fixed footholds and short poles which is fine as long as the ski never planes. Trying to chase down a boat while bent over takes its toll fast.

Freestyle how much to shorten rn pole??

Best pole length with fixed footholds? for the river -2, the lake -3, surf -6. With full length slots you can use a short pole without hurting your back when going fast..

    650/X-2 Why Do they Sink?

X2 are bad because they like to roll completely over more than a standup. If the engine stays running while rolling they take in a lot of water. The air vents should have hoses that go all the way to the bottom and center of the hull. Kawasaki didnt make them that way and nobody has the...
