FX-1 FX1 - Pump Limitations?

I am close to buying an FX1 that has some engine mods but stock pump.
It is too far away to test ride and I have never been on an FX1. How much of a limitation is the stock pump? The motor is built a little better than the one in my SN, I am just wondering if the power will get to the water or if I am going to be disappointed?

I've ridden mine stock for years and found it more than adequate. I know it could use a little more hookup down low for heavier riders. I would say if you are under 180-185lbs it's fine as you add weight you will want more pump and power.

My motor, which is ported by GroupK, B-pipe, etc seemed to punch holes in the water down low when it was on a stock FX1 pump. I believe it had a stock prop.

The mostly stock FX1 I had prior to that seemed fine. It could use a little more on the bottom, but once again stock prop.
I think with a different prop and one of those wet wolf pump cones it would be good enough.

My fx is all stock motor wise but has a solas prop and it pops me out of the water from a stand still pretty easily. Im in the process of a 140mm pump conversion but I'm making little progress at it lately...

Im a full fx1 convert from a sn. I will tell you a stock fx pump with the correct prop on flat water will perform just fine. Now as soon as you add some chop or white water as an obstacle you will quickly realize how much the bigger pump helps. Def go for the kawi 650 pump mod if its your first big fiber glass project, it goes together SO nicely. Its almost as if it was meant to be long ago.
