SX/SXi/SXi Pro 94 750 sx whats next?

I have a 94 750 sx with a pipe, v force reids, scoop intake great, extended ride plate and i think an impeller, also an aluminum pole and that how i bought it. over the winter i put footholds in and turfed it. what the next step for more power and torque?

I wold say timing advance, msd, porting, bore up a few sizes and gew some more fuel in it. My first mod would be to ditch that extended plate though. Getting the nose up will help.

Tubby IIs. I know is not a power mod although it in the top 3 mods I did to my boat. I really like the improvement in handling, turns, railing! Did you put a quick turm steering plate on it. I believe the 94 didnt come with it.

Hey, Get off my lawn!!! dont you have a yam motor to rebuild lol.
J.K. Hope your stocker test run went good today.

Stock motor rips, I had forgotten how well tuned it was. A lot of fun to ride even more fun than all the power of the ported motor.

Now back to this Kawi talk LOL

tubbie 2's are front sponsons that widen up the front of the ski and give you more stability at all speeds. their expensive and a pain to put on but well worth it. You can get them at blowsion.com

Earlier kawi's can run better with a timing advance plate, their about $50 on ebay or blowsion. The msd is like a amplifier for your spark plugs.

No, motor stays in. The flywheel cover comes off and it's attached to it. Not a bad job. Easy-medium. Pipe chamber will have to come off first.

Sorry for my noobness that has been aswered hundreds of times I'm sure but is there a how to for this and what kit should I be looking for? '94 750sx btw

This comes with directions and pics. The blowion guys are pretty friendly over the phone. I had to slightly shave off some of the inside material of the flywheel cover for it to seat properly, no biggie. Unfortunately ya just gotta dive in and learn as you go. I had a 94 SX before my 99 SXI-Pro, I believe they are pretty much the same, with an exception to a few changes.

yea i think im going to look into getting the msd and timing advance also a quick turn plate with straight bars. My buddy has a 93 sx with a quick turn plate and im going to see if i can take his and have my work CNC the same thing up for me or do it my self, if it doesnt turn out well, ill just have to buy one. how much more power and pull does the msd and timing advance give you?

I have my stock sxi pro turn plate I'll sell cheap. It is the same as a A/M plate just not as shinny. If you want a used solas 12/18 I can throw them both in a box for $100 plus actual shipping.

650 flywheel will not fit without major mods. Your stator is mounted to the flywheel cover, a 650 stator is mounted to the engine, so the flywheels are reverse shapped (750 faces forward, 650 backward) . In order to install a 650 stator, you must machine the cases to accept it. Plus you need to run 650 electronics (ebox and all) unless someone has come up with a way to make 650 stator mate to 750 electronics recently (I highly doubt it).

650 flywheel might be a little lighter, but not worth the hassel. You can always take your flywheel off and have it lightened, much better option.

The MSD and Timing advance will give better throttle response, thats all. For low speed thrust you will need a modern prop, like a Concord and a 650sx nozzle. Figure out how much full throttle you like to use before you start pumping up compression/timing.
