    can i put a stater out of a 650 sj into a 701?

Can't tell from your first post, but just to be clear, the 650 (6m6) and 701 (61X only) share the same stator and flywheel. 701 (62T) has a different stator and flywheel. You can use the 650 stator in the 62T 701 also, but you have to use the 650/61X flywheel with it.

    Styrofoam and Water Absorption

I was wondering if the styrofoam that is shoved in noses of skis and handlepoles can get waterlogged? I've never seen it happen. Has anyone? The reason I ask, is because regardless of type, it seems that the two-part foam used to fill the rear of hulls absorbs water. Has anyone tried...

Yamaha 62T/61X Displacement vs. Bore/Stroke Combinations

Someone send me a PM with your email and I'll send you the .xls file and you can upload it somewhere and post the link. I asked Superjett if vBulletin would support real-time html calculators in a thread but he said no. Plus, he correctly pointed out that there are a ton of displacement...

cant rember the formula to work cc size

Yeah, trust me, I had no bad intent in my posts (except to maybe bug Chuckie, SUPERTUNE a bit:biggrin: ). In fact, I bet you I'm the biggest geek of all of you on this board, but I try not to let it out too much. I was a motorhead before I was a geek. Reading Calc, Physics, and Chemistry...

cant rember the formula to work cc size

I can't help it. I'm a geek at heart. :cool2: You won't see me with a pocket protector though.

cant rember the formula to work cc size

All you guys with your "magic" numbers and stuff (I always laugh with crammit442 about this when he has these crazy numbers like 0.7854 memorized). And SUPERTUNE, my way is easier:) Bottom line is, this is why math is important. Displacement is equivalent to volume. With an engine it is...

    attachment and gallery upload issues

Just out of curiosity, how much disk space does the For Sale forum take up? Perhaps you could set it up (or manually) delete all posts in that forum after a set period. like two months, for example. Once something is sold, the post isn't needed.

    Front Exhaust Only

If you're running over 200psi compression and don't wear a helmet, it can get annoyingly loud after awhile. One tip might be to make the diameter of the outlet (and the hose) greater than 2" to make it have a deeper note. I think the smaller diameter of the front exhaust bezels currently...

Have you seen this fuel filter? Help me find one

If it was more than four hours, you should see your doctor:) Seriously though, I haven't seen that, but I will keep an eye out. Thx.

    ht padding

I, also, can't stand HT's pricing. I realize that they have been a strong supporter of our sport, but they seem to really be trying to monopolize. I was really p'd when I asked for my 10% XH2O/PWCToday discount (from Laurel) on a solid Blaster mat kit (without the HT logo) and she...

Have you seen this fuel filter? Help me find one

Just curious as to what "broke" means? I buy a handful of these from JSS at a time. Their small/simple. I've never seen one break. Is there a weak point with these?

    Lightweight Batteries

Yes, I think that we have to experiment some more over time and across the various ignition combos with the different batteries to determine which are the most robust and which are the best for the various types of riding/ski setups. I'm thinking that the 1/3 capacity is going to limit the...

    1/2" Dual Cooling Questions

Is anyone running dual 1/2" cooling to their motor with Factory Pipe wet pipes (mod/limited/Blaster mod/TNT)? If so, did you retap the bottom of the manifold for bigger inlets? You have to, right? Otherwise it defeats the purpose at that point due to the restriction.

    Lightweight Batteries

I saw the thread on the 1 Gallon fuel cell begin to get hijacked so I wanted to start this here. I've done a little research on batteries, weight, and power. My personal feeling is that the Deka (sealed) and Odyssey batteries are superior to the Walmart and vented auto store ones, but thi...

    Watercraft Factory/Team Scream/XMetal Freeride Ski

I wanted to give thanks where thanks were due a couple weeks ago when we were hacked and remembered that I never posted this here on the X yet. Finally, I have this on the water and I just want to take a moment and thank everyone who helped me along the way. Every one of these people are...

    x metal water box

If you're not running a front exhaust it has a pretty mean growl and is not too loud. I currently have my front plugged right now as I ride in the evenings around a lot of houses. Freestyleriverrat, Proformance1, and a few others heard (and rode) mine this weekend at the Malone clinic I am...

Eric Malone Freestyle Clinic on September 16th

Worth every penny. I can't describe the power of his boat except honestly scary. Made some new friends there too. Eric was a really mellow guy, not what I expected and he answered every question we asked about his boat, riding, etc. Had beer and a great dinner. He laughed with us about...

Eric Malone Freestyle Clinic on September 16th

Definitely come. Funny, I have been toying with the same problem with my knee all summer. It's possible that yours is not fully torn. Try wrapping it tight with an Ace bandage. My wetsuit actually also doubles to hold my knee together.
