can i put a stater out of a 650 sj into a 701?

Yes, the bottom case halves are the same.

Can't tell from your first post, but just to be clear, the 650 (6m6) and 701 (61X only) share the same stator and flywheel. 701 (62T) has a different stator and flywheel.

You can use the 650 stator in the 62T 701 also, but you have to use the 650/61X flywheel with it.

Yeah depends what you mean by "stater". Definitely uses the same starter. Stator varies.

You can use the stator for a 650, but you have to have the right flywheel to go with it like NJFL posted. (61x or 650 flywheel)
