    check out these stands

What kind of plans could possibly be needed to build this? It seems pretty straightforward of a concept to me. I built one for my SJ out of 2" and it has been very robust, lightweight, and easy to toss around and store when not in use.

    Big Bore Wannabe

Here's a list of the displacement for a given bore and stroke combo. Look under the 68mm (stock stroke) and you will see the displacement based on the various bores. I think you typically can go 85 or 86 mm. http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/5136 However, you state that you don't have the...

    Ada Billet Cylinder?

I don't see what big reliability or budget differences there are between a 5 and 6 mm stroker. In fact, since most 5mm stroker cranks have standard rods and many 6, 7, and 8mm cranks have 133 (longer) rods, I would expect them to have less cylinder wall loading than a 5mm, thus adding...

    Ada Billet Cylinder?

Like I said, enclosed. Or, alternatively, ritually rinsing and spraying down with lube to maintain a barrier from the atmosphere.

    Ada Billet Cylinder?

Although I am going to try TL to see what gains I can get, I hate the idea of open, exposed electronics when riding in a salt environment. Geraban's enclosure case is pretty cool for that though. In general, if you don't have a good enclosure, I would say that OEM-based ignition would make...

    Ada Billet Cylinder?

It's basically a scaled up version of the first-generation ADA cylinder that crammit442, myself, and Pete are running. As jetskiking said, in the hands of the right builder it kicks butt. Team Scream is finishing one of the new 989 ones as we speak, but I haven't heard the final outcome.

Blowsion may make nice stuff but they are jerks!

I do think that you might want to edit the Subject as it is clear that you wrote this in the "heat" of your frustration. It comes across a bit harsh. There's no need to use profanities (sp?). Just state honest factual info and that's reasonable (IMO).

Blowsion may make nice stuff but they are jerks!

No, I disagree with that. By posting this, he has alerted others to the fact that Blowsion is not perfect and can not satisfy everybody. That's reasonable.

    Mag Pumps Are Heavy

Charles (crammit442) and I had a pump swap day where we played with various versions of the 140 mag pumps and Skat props. By far the hardest hitting setup was a 13/21 Skat swirl in a 12 vane setback. However, it was only a little better than the 14/21 (in my opinion it wasn't worth the loss in...

need help getting a motor apart

From what you wrote, it sounds like you still haven't got it off yet. Focus on using a large screwdriver to pry up on the OEM slots between the cylinder and case. There are dowels between the cylinder and case, so after a few knocks with the mallet like BK suggested, you need to concentrate on...

    Bilge Switch Location

I think this is the one: http://cpinj.thomasnet.com/item/waterproof-switches-hand-actuated-switches/hand-actuated-waterproof-switches/k1007-1365?&plpver=10&origin=keyword&filter=&by=prod crammit442 pointed out to me that there are two styles of encapsulated buttons. One has a lot of...

Whats the deal with prices on used b-pipes???

I personally think that they work as well, or better than stainless. They certainly can take more torque (than most commercially-available grades of stainless) and I believe that the chrome plating reacts less with aluminum than does stainless.

    no-name footholds on ebay

I think he has the first gen Watercraft Factory molds from Steve (bought them). These are similar to the Rickter design. Louie is a good guy too.

What would you like to see in a dealership??

4th. I live right around the corner from Stumpy's Yamaha and would love to go there for all of my parts, but usually only do in dire emergencies. They usually give me a 10% discount, but still the markup is rediculous. In most cases I can wait a few days for the discount mail order dealers...

    full spectrum 49mm carbs

I just saw in another thread that you are switching from dual 46 FS to 49's. I really am surprised that that made such a big difference ("the most performance that any bolt on part has ever added"). You sure you didn't change anything else at the same time? Did you switch anything else at the...

    full spectrum 49mm carbs

I rode crammit442's dual 48 Blackjacks on his 6mm ADA stroker and they kicked arse. I think anyone who has ridden his boat will tell you the same. Yes, the bombsight is removed, but there is a ring of orifices around the air horn that dispenses a fine fog of fuel, providing excellent...

XMetal Water Outlets can Double as a Flush Kit

Here's a cheap XMetal product that I don't think Pat even knew did this. The water outlets are the perfect size to allow a hose end to fit over them when flushing your ski. No need for a flush tee. In fact if I take the tension off the hose it even stays on there by itself. I have a...
