I made a hood liner out of one layer of 4oz (I think) mat. I had planned on a second/finishing layer but this first layer turned out much better than I'd expected. Here's some pics of how it's shaped. It's in a roundnose hood lined with 17oz biax so flexing should not be a huge issue. And...

I just rode with a guy today who lined the bottom, rails, and underside of the hood. Looks sweet! I'm tempted to say the extra weight would be worth it if you want to maintain a constant color other than fiberglass yellow on the underside.

Is anyone else having trouble fastforwarding, rewinding, etc w/this video? I got about seven minutes in and went to rewind just a bit and lost it using Media Player Classic. WMP won't even let me attempt to skip around. Awesome vid and I think the quality is great - especially for a 20min vid...

My first mod was a 13/15 cutback 3mm + ww cone. That ran terrific on a stock ski and held me over nicely for a couple weeks until I could get my bpipe in. I ride surf but I'm not sure why there'd be a difference between surf and flat pitches. :dunno: You'll be happy with the one you got.
