Cheers guys, the main reason for running the B pipe is that the pfp wont last 5 mins in the surf.
TBH I think he will be happy if it tames it down a bit.
My mates running an et 1100 and pfp in a 2014 XFS.
He wants to run a full size tank and B pipe in the surf for the winter.
Has anyone ran the b pipe with an 1100 and how did it perform?
Cheers
Using an old gasket ur crazy.
If that leaks you can either get water in your motor or blow exhaust gases in to the cooling space causing overheating etc. Not really worth the risk for a cheap gasket IMO.
We use big head mounts over here that look the same just with more holes in.
I stick them on with methacrylate then put a couple of discs of CF/glass over the top to make it look pretty and add a bit more strength.
In my old xfs the battery tray and fuel tank was held in with four mounts each...
Cheers, I guess you meant a needle file. Found a really nice pear drop sort of shaped one. Took me best part of a couple of hours but all ports nicely chamfered now :-)
Used an oil stone after to make sure it was all nice and smooth
What tools do you guys find best for chamfering the ports?
Ive ported my cylinders and just had it bored and now need to do the chamfering then I can build her up.
I have just ported my cylinders and cases, took bloody ages but was really happy with the end result.
Not got any pics of the cylinder on my phone but widened the exhaust port, ground out all the transfer ports and took a fair bit of the bottom of the liners.
I'll get some pics when it's back...
Think that may well be the issue.
Was speaking to a builder who has had issues with the RRP and flow guard so just taken mine off and fitted an xmetal wity coupler mod.
I'll let you know if it cures it
+1 on above.
Have you still got the standard temp sensor on? That would do that fault.
Either just unplug it from in the box (leave wires open) or cut it off for a test and make sure wires are not touching together
Sounds like the battery is shot, id just buy a new one as there only cheap.
The charger can still charge it to what it thinks is full, but cells can be damaged and not hold a charge.
Only way to truly know is take it to a local garage or motorist shop and have them test it with a proper...
Thanks for you reply, was looking at the exhaust and wondering about that, I'll find a piece of pipe that fits in and make something up.
I have the biggest block I could get under the water box (50mm odd), pipe is strapped up wards under pole bracket the block is sat on top of the RRP battery...
