    just measured a set of 38's and with the adaptor ring on the bottom they measure 40, and at the top they measure 40. Take the adaptor/space off the bottom and they will measure 38

    I'm sure it would be better than what you have but personally would just order up the right jets. I think stock is 70 low and 135 high.

    I run the same on a lightly ported 701, pipe and head. I have 25 psi pop off. Think that was a 1.5 n/s with a 80g spring.

    +1 ive fitted a few like that. I then put some mesh (bit out of the stock oem air box) over the hole to stop any cable ties etc getting stuck in the ball

    CDI units from either will work fine. Its the stators and flywheels that are different.

    Your over thinking it a bit. Shaft in freezer, warm housing, fit seals dry or spray WD. Wipe grease in seals and on shaft, knock or press in. Job done

    Chuck the shaft in the freezer for an hour. Pop the seals in while the housing is warm then press shaft in. Should pretty much just fall in.

    Take your time to get pump, intermediate and motor aligned right. Make sure you check the spline engagement on the drive shaft and intermidate. They are really nice hulls to build. Think Watcon did some nice tutorial vids on you tube that's worth a watch if you have never done it before.

    Def not. I'd take flywheel off, have a look and see where it's been rubbing. Pic would be good. What flywheel and stator do you have? 61x, 62t etc. 61x stator is smaller than a 62t so a mis match would bind but doubt you would even get the flywheel on.

    If a head o ring/gasket is blowing it can make pissers do funny things. Are running issues when it happens?
