I use to have a H2O torrent 148 pump with my tpe 964 then with my dasa 1100 and worked well.
A mate bought it and runs it in the surf with a 760. He said it was much better than the 144 on hook up.
I rode my old carbon XFS in small surf and loved it. Did put some rails on the side which made night and day difference to the stability.
With a 701 it flipped of anything.
When you say XFS ninja, do you mean the older glass ones or the latest competition hull?
With the exchange rate in your favour might be worth speaking to Andy @ Carve Composites in the UK.
He make a real nice kit with his own Razor foot holds.
That's the same as I tried last weekend. Only thing I have done is bring it on a bit more agressively.
Started at 15 deg then straight to 30 at 1500rpm then left the rest alone.
Cant wait to try it. I went out nearly a turn on the highs when I first tried so upjetting it a tad aswel.
It's dead easy to use the software and aslong as you don't run to much advance, or hold the timing on to long you can have a play with it pretty safely.
Also if your not sure send you map to Chris at ATP and he will check it before you try it.
I haven't bothered with a switch, just have it on the maximum safe timing I can run.
If you had say a real long stretch to the place u ski that you had to idle along then a switch could be ideal as you could run say 20 deg timing at the bottom then switch to 30 once your ready to play.
Yea is...
I was debating for ages. The fact that it fits in a nice oem box (or super billet bling box :-)) swung it for me. I rode salt 95% of the time so this has the most chance of being reliable I reckon.
Just make sure you buy a brand new oem Yamaha or Kawasaki coil
Just fitted a new flame TS2.
Got the kit pre built in the billet electrics box. All I had to do was make up the harness for the stator with a bit of heat shrink and few connectors was no bother.
Set air gap first (gap between pickup and flywheel) then use dti to find dti, make a pointer and...
Yes I would think so. Bought brand new from ATP last week.
Interesting ur on 10 start retard.
Every have any starting issues.
Mine doesn't kick back or anything but sounded like it had slightly to much advance a couple of times when I stated it on the weekend. I'm at 15 and was going to try...
Do you have a pic of the curve ur running?
Ive got a dasa 1100 and RRP pipe.
Running 30deg advance, twin spark bellow 3750.
Be interesting to see how early ur on the timing.
What do you have ur start retard set at?
Cheers
