The only benefit I could see to that would be engine break in and carb tuning the off idle circuit. Probably wouldn't be very accurate for wot testing from cavitation. I will strap my ski to a trailer and back into the water to dial in the low speed and off idle circuits before riding when I'm...
i ran 70 pilots, 125- 130 mains with a 2.0 n/s and 65g spring. 18psi popoff. mine was a fully ported reed engine running on 100 octane with dual 38 sbns and a factory full pipe. Paul will get you straight. start with that, should be pretty close depending on pump load and pipe.
I've heard fusion is also really good. That's the one I haven't tried yet. But I've tried tinkercad, free cad and I believe onshape. All three were difficult to learn. We have solidworks at my job and was able to get a coworker to show me some basic things and I was able to figure out the rest.
What 3d software are you using? I've been teaching myself 3d cad using solidworks for makers. It isn't free however it is much more user friendly than any other cad program I've used so far. I've tried most of them and found solidworks to be the best so far. But definitely like to hear other...
I do this after every ride and also run 34 to 1 oil mix. My current 735 is pushing 195psi and still running strong with 5 seasons on it.. it's fully ported with all the matching parts.
One of my buddies has a jm 701 in his v3 with a oem 155 pump. You'll want either a 5/9 or a 6/12 with a 701. Wouldn't hurt to bore the outlet nozzle. There are many variables that go into proper pump tuning. The v3 is a super loose handling ski so the 155 should help with that a little depending...
Only real advantage I see with the noco lipo battery is the weight. They're very light. Overall reliability and longevity is yet to be determined. I know several people running them and they've all been replaced at least once in a years time. Meanwhile I've had my heavier agm battery 3 years...
If you don't mind a fiberglass project, I have an xscream hood that needs the two pieces glued together and finished. I got it from Carter b but never got around to finishing it. I no longer have a superjet anymore so no need for it. I'll give you a deal on it if you're interested. Shoot a pm.
10/16 should be the ticket. You can always add shims behind the impeller to loosen it up a little or bore your outlet nozzle. I added 2 mm in Shims behind my impeller and it loosened tye pump up just enough where it can quickly come on the pipe but not slip. A friend had a shredder 62t setup...
Your builds are soo clean and detailed, I can tell you have put lots of time and thoughts into your builds. I'd be scared to ding or scratch them up haha.
