its hard to tell, from the pic, if you used a biaxial cloth between the footholds and across the tray or not, but id strongly recommend it, before you turf, if you didnt. chopped mat isnt strong enough to support the corners you cut out. nice job too!

it sounds like the dropped sleeve caused the dome to vibrate around which ate away at the head shell. if thats the case, it will we an ongoing problem until you replace the head shell. just 1 theory. id take out the orings and do a dry fit with the dome in the shell and see if one dome is able...

leverage as in a "wider grab" on the ski itself. think in terms of extremes for a minute. if the bars were only, say, 16" wide, youd have a hard time manipulating the ski because of the lack of leverage due to the force being so close to the fulcrum point. granted, you will be moving your arms...

yeah, sounds like an exhaust leak. when you shut off the engine and let all the outside smoke clear, take off the hood and see if theres any smoke around the engine. also, make sure youre not pinching any fuel lines when you put the hood on.

$100 is including the straight bar.

i never pay full retail for anything ski related. besides, if you buy the umi setup, you can cut it down to run straight bars. now you have, whats equivilant to, -3.5" steering AND ball bearings for about $100. that beats cutting the pole down or buying a shortened pole.

youll get more for it with a wire wheeling and some paint. it doesnt have to be an awesome job and you dont even have to disassemble it. just make it purdy for the camera.

after you catch the nose, you can pull yourself up on the nose by using the handholds then flip yourself around to get into riding position again. you can even throw a fountain in there between the pulling up and the flipping around.
