slow down there......
first your relay(s), now your starter.....
if the start turns over when the relay is bridged, its not a bad starter. what happens when you bridge the relay now???
if he bridged the solenoid with a screwdriver and the engine turned over, his battery is good in theory.
how well did the engine turn over while bridging the solenoid?
something strange (maybe it isnt strange. :dunno:) i just noticed.....
words in a post can not be all caps unless there is a quoted message in the post too.
whats up with that?
make sure your battery is FULLY charged and not from walmart.
if you need to remove your starter, the easiest way, with a b pipe, is to remove the head pipe. you can leave the chamber in place. its a 10 minute job to get the start out
the first time i rode an SJ, it didnt feel right to me either. in fact, it didnt feel right for about the first couple weeks. any ski takes time to get used to.
its a good thing the kawi shop is so close since the old kawis are constantly needing to be fixed.
GET A SUPER JET!
i wouldnt touch that POS with a 10' handle pole. if you ever need pistons, you have to order kawi pistons then cut windows into the pistons. they handle like crap. theyre 550 based which sucks.
if you have $3200 to spend, you can get yourself a decent roundie SJ or an even more modified square.
youve got 2 yami engines and a roundie but youre fugging with a 650sx????:banghead:
the scribed mark on the stator should line up with the seam in the case halves.
you can have properly timed spark, compression, fuel and air and still not have ignition if your crank seals are bad.
you...
overpowering a 12 volt solenoid with 12 volts? i dont think so. if you want to second guess and troubleshoot your electrical system with a 9 volt battery, go for it!
you putting used solenoids on there? they dont normally go bad. a fuse wont stop it from going bad. itll just save the rest of the system if theres a short somewhere.
