Those are defintely for the round nose. The OEM square nose hood hooks are much thinner and do not come forward that far. So, you are not getting the hood where it is supposed to be positioned. Try putting your OEM's back on and see if that fixes the problem. I bet it does.

I did the same thing to mine and had to replace the clip. DO NOT crank them down too tight. Just snug enough to keep your hood from coming off in the event your latch or hooks break or come lose.

The 62t uses a different bracket to mount the grease fitting. It's a smaller bracket that bolts on to the rear bolt of the intake manifold... this may help.. item #17 . http://216.37.204.203/yamaha_OEM/YamahaPWC.asp?Type=13&A=89&B=5

I've had great luck with Slippery gear also... now, my JP boots... those sucked. Seams ripped apart after only two weeks.
