Got the engine out and stock exhuast removed. Tonight Carl helped me tap the pump, stock cylinder head, and b pipe exhaust manifold for dual cooling. He hooked me up with a stainless tube to run through the firewall also. Found the midshaft housing needs replacment.

best to call impros directly. i them repitch, repair, and cutback my impeller for $130 a couple years ago. cutting back an impeller means that some of the bottom of the impeller is shaved off so that the whole unit sits further inside the pump and more importantly closer the pump stator vanes.

I still haven't found out who supplies the heavier duty tools and still don't know what the wrench size is.

once you get the strap, i'd see if you can still keep the front latch... I don't see why you couldn't. that front latch helps with the alignment of the hood. just remove the rear latch and replace with the ratchet.

Yes they can. Dave at Impros does them, as I am sure other companies can also. I have heard that is one thing you just don't want to have re done though. Buy OEM or count on it not lasting as long

can't find what you are looking for on mcmaster or fastenal... why not just use some regular or nylon hex nuts??
