mcmaster Ada head girldle nuts & locking steering nut for x metal

Does this steering nut also fit the x metal steering system,pretty sure its the same as umi?

does anyone know where I can find the stainless acorn nuts that fit the girdle bolts on the ada head.

they are the only thing not listed here

I had a hard time finding stainless acorn nuts in the proper thread pitch.

ended up ordering them from ADA. they were about $3 each.

no necessarily, they could be making their own or are having them made by another machinist...

i've had a very very hard time finding RIVA girdle coupling nuts... they were custom made for their kits, as well as the kits from PRO-Tec... and then I found out one of my riding buddies was the original producer and still had some lying around.

yea I could see those coupler bolts being custom made,but these are just chrome,stainless acorn nuts.
After looking at them again,the studs are all the same size,the head studs look to be m8 1.25 pitch I need the acorns for these if anyone knows the part #

I think they are M10x1.25, not M8

can't find what you are looking for on mcmaster or fastenal...

why not just use some regular or nylon hex nuts??

correct - McMaster does not carry stainless acorn nuts in fine thread M10

you might be able to find "pike nuts" on line at some aftermarket m/c parts suppliers.

They are indeed m10x1.25 and they are difficult to find particularly in stainless, we have to make our own.

all of your which bolts exactly appear to be smaller?

Which cylinder head are you using on which engine? Yami, kawi?

my 3rd post down makes more sence. When i made the thread I thought they looked the same as ada head bolts.After I looked again I noticed they were all the same size as the internal head bolts on the ada head m8. Its a mrd head on a yami 701.the girdle bolts go down and into a coupler bolt like the protec and others use. So it looks as though I will need the ones that mcmaster does carry. strange why they dont carry the m10s in that pitch.guess I lucked out on this one

Because it's a very unusual size.
