another good thing to do is to lift the inlet side of the water box up with a secondary pad or a couple layers of turf.
as said before i have had turf on my chamber for over 1 season it is still holding up well.

Just surprising b/c I had my alignment off on my RN for like 6 months and it has already started to wear down the splines. And I know they were perfect when first installed.
totally viable, but just sucks b/c what if remove the pump without removing the midshaft to possibly changed impellers in the future? i will have no way of knowing if the pump is aligned properly.

I also was told by someone the other night that is is a 26mm. Maybe the thinner/thicker tools use different size wrenches.
check the shaft... it has the tiniest slightest bend, but that is not the main problem. if you spin the shaft 180 degrees the shaft still sits towards the carb side.
Every superjet I have worked on has had pins on top of the pump next to the forward mounting feet. There are dowel indentations holes next to the two front pump mounting holes.
So this is the first time I have ran across this type of problem.
I installed the pump, and can get it aligned up and down just fine, but as you can see in the pics, the drive shaft sits in the hole closer to the carb side of the boat than the exhaust side of the boat.
