contact cement should be pretty dry to the touch when applied. It also only sticks to another surface that also has dried contact cement. So as long as the contact cement on the turf is dry it won't transfer to any other surface. When I say dry to the touch I mean that the contact cement is...

call art at jetworks. he'll point you in the right direction... A Hooker impeller would probably give you a little more bottom that you are looking for.

i found a more course grit paper works better when sanding the turf, but not sure which I found worked best on the padding.

to taper use a red hot razor blade and cut at your desired angle, then sand to shape... some people say you can use a right angle grinder with a sanding disc. Haven't tried that myself, but will give it a shot on my next turf job.

i've been told to soak the bendix in mineral spirits, working the action every 1/2 hour. soak for 8 hours... let dry, then soak in any type of engine oil (2 stroke, 4 stroke, doesn't matter), let soak for as long as you want, then let dry, and re install.
