got to ride an 09 sj!

The 08/09 SJ's are way better than the previous roundnose with tubbies. Roundnoses with tubbies are a great combo though, just cant top the new hull. Easy to ride, and I dont ever have a problem spinning one around or breaking it loose like the old hulls. Just spend some time on one and its just...

    Wet tot Dry ??'s

I wasn't sure a stock prop would work, I have never tried, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Sometimes you have to change if you already have a prop for a different setup. There are many other pops that would work alot better than stock on a limited setup

    Wet tot Dry ??'s

Hmm, just read over this thread. You might need a different prop with a dry pipe, what are you currently running for a prop? Dome size will not matter. 28cc is completely safe. You can get much much smaller if you so choose.

    Steering adjustment frustration

You need to in fact cut the steering cable down a little bit and re-thread the cable a bit further down. What I recommend doing is getting a die (the "nut" that will create new threads) and putting it on the steering cable, after you remove the adjuster. Cut the cable AFTER installing the die...

    Dry pipe pluming

Do you mean the main jets that you can screw into the stinger? No I don't, because I run my pipe really dry and if I used the main jet restriction, I would melt my foam around the tank and the coupler between the waterbox and stinger. You can use it if you want, I just don't, along with a bunch...

    SXR Dry Pipe Coupler Replacement

Try and find a local seal place, if you have one. You can find those O-Rings for less than a dollar each. Take the old ones with you. They are made of Viton.

    Dry pipe pluming

Yes, that is correct. Quite honestly, dual cooling is the only way to go. Unless it is a bone stock motor with ONLY a dry pipe or wet pipe, then you can run single cooling. Riding hard, and having more than just a pipe, will make that motor very hot. Keeping it as cool as possible is your...

    Dry pipe pluming

Ill make this as simple as possible, as it appears that you have just single cooling. I would recommend dual cooling, but this first setup is for single cooling: 1. Water comes in FROM the pump to the manifold, you have that correct. 2. The fitting on the rear of the head goes to the fitting on...

    SXR Dry Pipe Coupler Replacement

You do not need to move your motor forward at all to get the pipe off, just notch your hull where the hood seal is, directly behind the pipe. I do not even use the "coupler" or anything at all. It is just a cover and helps keep exhaust sludge from leaking. It serves no useful purpose. If my...

    SXR Differences

Agreed. You can't go wrong either way. The only ski you can use an MSD enhancer with is the 2003, so if you plan on using an enhancer do not buy an 04 and up....but thats not a big deal. Just a heads up.

    Milling the stock head

He already has a pipe. That also means he has already re-jetted as well. The .060 base gasket is the most common way to go for all limited SXR's, I do not really hear of anyone dong anything else. It also has worked good on budget stock class builds. I have seen these dyno tested and rode skis...
