I didn't put my bilge pump where you did. I put my bilge pump between the battery and the firewall. It doesn't move or get in the way. Doing it this way I was also able to leave the stock bilge in.

My '91 is on with screws. I think 2. Riveting won't do much more then bolts, IMO. Throwing some foam on the underside would do more good, I bet.

Maybe the bendix isn't disengaging correctly. Maybe a bearing. What ski? Does it do the same when starting on a stand? Have you tried starting it with the hood off to tell where the noise is coming from?

Careful buying used relays... Figure on spending around $50. I got mine from extremethrottle and got it within a few days. Order from him today and you should have it by this weekend.

I don't think it should be reading any draw when sitting. Just charge the battery the night before riding and disconnect when winterizing. U should be OK.

No need to remove, just remember what the stator looked like. Use the wiring diagram I posted to tell which wires to test. I posted for years up to 1988, but I think it's the same for 1993. Follow the wires from the engine to the ebox and test at the ebox connector.

Look at the intake grate. The make should be marked on it quite visibly. Sponsons are the way to go without effecting speed much.

You pulled the flywheel and looked at the stator. You'll see 2 coils on the stator. Measure the resistance across the coils.

There is a simple way of testing the solenoid. The solenoid has 4 wires, 1 thick wire to the battery, 1 thick wire to the starter, a thin wire to the start button and a thin wire to negative/ground. Short the thin wire that normally goes to the start button to positive 12v. That bypasses the...

Only use starter fluid as a last resort, IMO. If it's got compression, gas, and spark she'll run. What's your compression?
