Probably a bad hull design. You can probably band-aid it with sponsons.

It can't really be more obvious. Is your ski's nose bobbing up and down at speed and you don't want it to, you got porpoising.

U ain't gonna get ANYWHERE until you pull the head. Look at the cylinders and hopefully the case. If that doesn't tell you what's wrong, split the case. I bet the ski ate something and now the engine is an anchor. Pull the head. It's easy. Let me know if you need the torque pattern/specs.

FYI: The bilge line is routed in such a way that back-filling is impossible unless the water is pumped through the line. If the required placement of the bracket worries you, why use the bracket at all? Haven't people installed bilge pumps without using that bracket. As to the original...
