Do you want more thrust, better response, or some of both? What gas do you plan to use? What is your pump configuration and are you willing to change your prop.
For best thrust your 760 will need a low pitched prop and raised rev limit. Higher compression and light flywheel have more to do with throttle response. Find any low tension fiberglass or carbon reed.
The blaster prop is about right if the stock rev limit is used. It will be too much load for best low speed response though. Those old props are great once the boat is moving but lack the low speed thrust of newer thin hub and swirl props for equal peak RPM.
The venturi area in relation to the throttle plate becomes very critical on larger carbs. Novi got wise and is now leaving venturis in place, thats why they work so well on everything.
Aftermarket cyl mfgs use gas operated valves for economic purposes. It is not the fastest nor most accurate method of actuation but is the cheapest. Jetskiers dont care about details like that.
They can be hard to find now but I have used Aktive and Boyesen fiberglass reeds that I found on ebay for less than $10. Both were in good shape after a full season.
The length of the leads are my only question. I just got a new 750zxi coil because it appeared to have the longest leads measuring 18"/23". My new Yamaha coil has 30" leads. How long are SXR leads?
