    Looking for a 42mm carb.

Keihin 42 race carbs arent very common these days. You can get a 40 from a 92-95 750sx to get an idea of what you can expect, usually very little.

    Introduction to Bigger Motors

The wear factor is greater on almost everything. Most of the reliability problems wont be within the engine as long as the build and tune is correct. Many problems come from the extreme shaking common to all these long stroke twins. You will see a lot more chafing, cracking, and slipping with...

No X-games and why Jetskiing won't Make T.V.

Most riders at a freeride are there to show off. Theres always a lot of skis with bright paint and no mufflers being launched 30 feet in the air right in front of the crowd. Everyone look at me.

sxi pro ,40mm mikuni jetting setup?

The pilot/popoff should be rich enough as long as the engine is fourcycling as it comes on the pipe. If you are not getting maximum thrust at low speed then the pump load is too great. Try an old 750SX 80mm nozzle.

Help me find my superjet's 500 missing RPM

Your grate is keeping the top rpm down, not a bad thing. The stock grate will let peak rpm rise to the stock rev limit most of the time.

    porting question

They will probably run good if your pump load is low enough.

Help me read my piston wash

I think the top screws at 2 turns out are flowing more than the jet size difference but they may be getting close. The worst thing that can happen is that you will be too rich with the screws closed.

    Porting a 701 SJ??

The concept of "low end" power is largely lost on a watercraft since they are not driven against a solid media. The only thing that is felt is peak power and throttle response.

    MOD X2 900 pump Questions

650, 750, and 800 pumps are basically the same. You would need to use a 650 prop anyway. The 750,800 pumps will let you make a better freestyle inlet but that advantage is lost at high speed. A solas ka-sc-j (14-19) should provide plenty of load for a 900 considering it lugged down my 750.

Help me read my piston wash

Why are you changing the main jets? Are your top screws more than 2 turns out?

    Porting a 701 SJ??

If your goal is making power then everything needs to be working around 7000 rpm. A stock 61x cyl will not make it without being cut. A stock 62T cyl comes close.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro 27cc domes for 750 westcoast head!!!

The first Westcoast 650 heads were unique but the later versions used common shells for both 650 and 750s. These 650-760 heads use protruding domes that sit directly on the cylinder and a special Westcoast gasket that clears them. I always had problems getting them to seal and ended up using...

    1100 in a X2 or 650SX???

Im not sure if an 1100 will fit in an X2 without hull modification. A 650sx would be easy though. The old 650sx is easier than a 750 to ride in a straight line at high speeds which is all that any 1100 standup is good for.

    impeller pitch

Your Solas "I" will prime faster and run smoother than any old straight pitch. The only problem is that both props are too much load for a 650. You can repitch the I prop with a soft jaw vise and heavy hammer. Just raise the trailing edge about .100".

    reusing metal head gasket

You can reuse them as long as all of the black coating has been removed and replaced. Use carb spray or paint remover on the old black sealant. I have had good results with a light coat of Permatex copper spray.
