dual 44 sbn on a 61x yea or na

The Blaster came with 61X from 93-95, it got a 62T case in 96. The 96 was no faster with its larger reeds and extra carb. Dont get too fixated with big carbs until you have learned to tune what you have. Getting your pump load just right can make more of an improvement than any intake mod.

    300/440/550 Impeller options for a 650sx..... what r u running?

Skat 15, 15.5, 13-16, 14-17, 8-16, 9-17 are acceptable. Use the lower pitches if you are over 120lbs, any larger will kill accelleration. Solas ka-sc-a 13-18 is very good. These are all old props that are no longer produced. You can get a new Solas ka-sc-i 13-18 and have it pitched down if needed.

    o-ring stock head 61x 701

Make sure to start with a 64U head casting and make sure the deck is perfectly flat. Yamahas, by design, can be difficult to seal without a gasket.

dual 44 sbn on a 61x yea or na

Yes you can, they have been used successfuly on stock 650s as well. Its an expensive mod for what you get IMHO. They will wake up the pipe a bit but don't look for much in the way of peak power/speed over your stock single.

1100 wave raider engine in a sj

I think it is a good idea if your main goal is to go fast on low octane fuel. For freestyle it will need a lot of custom made parts and a total loss to get acceptable weight/performance.

    water box compare

It takes at least a two chamber box to get quiet enough. This is how a stock box is designed. Most A/M boxes are just open cans that have the outlet pipe mounted too far off the bottom to suck water out. This is the reason they are so loud, load up with water, and take forever to blow out.

    Buying Blind

Never pay too much for a used ski unless your sure its perfect. In the past it was easy to find used standups with very little use. Now with the lack of new production and the popularity of barrel rolls its hard to find an old ski thats not garbage. You need to be able to do a tap test on the...

You can stick an OEM piston just as fast as a Wiseco if the setup is not correct.

    Electronics question?

The 650 ignitions low rev limit is the main problem when used on 750 big pins. A Dales 650 ignition will work but has no retard curve or rev limit. A 93-95 X2 box is very good but can only make 6900 rpm. The best overall ignition is the stock 750SXI. It has a nice retard curve that is very pump...

    Thought I'd seen it all

These FPP pipes work well but are a poor sructural design. Shame on FPP for selling a product with a known limited fatigue life without telling the customer. Im glad they don't make airplanes!

Skat trak 14-17 any good ?

That 14-17 should work with the stock rev limit. For better acceleration use a 13-16 or 9-17 with a rev limit mod.

Completely flat trailer - Yay or Nay?

Its best to use some kind of bunks, or else the ski will roll and slide around. Plus the grate and plastic pump shoe will taking an unecessary beating when trailered.

    WetJet / Westcoast Pipes

Those Westcoast/Wetjet pipes work as well as any, but installation quality is critical. The small V-band clamp will break if its not perfect.

All electric PWC goes 50 mph

Electric power/weight potential is a little better than gasoline. We know that it takes about 1kw in to get 1HP out of a motor. You could replace your 100HP gasoline engine with an equal power and weight of electric motor/batteries very easily. You will get only 3-6 minutes of operation with...
