    whats wrong with the 650?

The old 650 doesnt fit current riding styles and is not economical to mod anymore. I still have one with an SXI engine. Compared to my Superjet, its a better wake jumper, it goes faster and carves better. Forget turning at high speeds though, they just slide. My Superjet has better low speed...

kawasaki 650 Engine mod Grpup K

The groupK sleeper porting is fine, good power can be made with it and a pipe. Kawasaki 650s can run surprisingly well when everything is just right. Tuning the pump is very critical to a 650s performance. The pump load must be light or it will kill low speed response. This leads you to your...

Other MIT proves two stroke is better and cleaner than a 4 stroke

Twostrokes and fourstrokes have similar BSFC in their peak efficiency rpm range. Twostrokes need direct injection in order to maintain it below that. The outboard mfgs have been producing direct injected twostrokes for nearly a decade, why is everyone else so slow to embrace the obvious?

    Custom/Hybrid Making a pipe..???

More power does nothing for an FX1 unless the pump is replaced.

anyone know the weight difference between Kawi 650 and 750sx's?

The weight difference is 20-30lbs. For freeriding there is little difference between the two given the same power. The 750 is much better at slolom and lands big jumps softer. I would go for a 95 750sx as long as it was in very good shape.

    big bore and porting

I would not give even a "pro" builder that much credit. But if you lack knowledge and experience then you are forced to put money and faith somewhere else.

    760 Porting

Port jobs are around $300. 760 cylinders have somewhat racy porting to begin with so a long pipe and short prop is usually required for good response.

    650sx and 750sx impeller

You can use a 650 prop on a 750 but will require shimming and a homemade seal for the drive shaft because the splines will be exposed. Using a 750 prop on a 650 requires some machining to get it right.

    FX-1 144 in fx-1 pump question

The 650 pump fits the inlet duct. A 144 will not work any better without major modification or replacement of the inlet.

    4 stroke freestyle motor??????

You can feel just how much "torque" that a fourstroke makes by riding a Hydrospace. You will be very dissapointed. I dont know where the four stroke lovers get their information. Even 30 year old 250 and 450 twostroke bikes are more powerful than modern replacements.

It can be done but theres no cheap and easy way to make a 650 into an 750/800.

Running no base gasket, 650/750 engines...

It will make your engine more responsive. Be very careful if you advance the ignition timing because that along with reduced squish will greatly increase the octane requirement at full throttle.

    Detonation

You can hear it with a quiet exhaust. It sounds like excessive intake noise for around 30 seconds or so, then the engine stops with a scored piston. If you can make the buzz go away by opening the top carb screw then it was detonating. Your engine may survive and appear sand blasted at the edge...

You should get 180 on a stock 61x cyl. Make sure to use a 61X gasket or drill holes in a 62T to match the head shell.
