yami or kawi? if yami you can press the midhaft forward while making sure you still have enough spline engagement on the pump shaft.service manual has required info. on kawi maybe pushing the pump as far as it'll go. some will add washers behind the couplers for both brands.

just like kawis. check motor mounts,hood paint WILL come off,midshaft assembly,impeller and wear ring ,lower pole bracket,cables etc... usually pretty reliable if stock or slightly modded.
