Does the coupler have a groove in it that just happens to be exactly in the right spot and the right size or did the sleeve somehow cut it?

Yeah, I looked at a few other cranks/engines I had around here and they had the thick collar (all 61x and 6m6). This came out of a 62t 2006 SJ, the SBT crank I am replacing it with has this thin sleeve as well. I would have been upset if it wasn't a wasted crank.

First time for me, the outer sleeve was wedged in a groove in the coupler. Had to grab it in my vice and hammer it apart.

Just slowly picking away at my X-Jet rebuild.

Can somebody tell me how far the exhaust tube on a RN superjet protrudes into the engine compartment? I don't want to run into issues down the road with carb/flame arrestor clearance.

Something must be up this week. Called my machine shop guy, too busy, called my other machine shop guy, out all week, contacted two vendors looking for parts, no reply from one, strange, unproductive reply from another. Nobody seems to want my money.

These really aren't as bad as Aquaholic makes them seem. I've owned a couple F14s and they were world's better than a comparably priced JS440/550. I'd buy another one for $750 any day.
