I never though I would find a ski I liked better than an FX-1 (maybe f1 pro?) but I am loving this FR-2, the billet 145 mag pump just wont come unhooked and I think this ski is imposable to pearl, I tried , surfs right out every time

as I broke my SN cable on the 1st ride
but for the record OEM cables I measured
FX-1 116 inches oal 3 in throw
pre 08 RN 122 inches oal 4 in throw
SQ 125 inches 3.5 throw

I have on in my current build
the swap is the same as with a 144 pump need to change the front mounts in the tray and install a pump shoe
On the pump you need to swap out the bearings to fit the FX-1 add a spacer / seal washer under the prop and a 3mm spacer under the cone
they are heavy but...

i put a RRP on my FX-1 just to play with pole lengths I ended up happiest at
minus 1 on the pole and -1.75 on the turnplate with 4 degree freestyle bars
I tried going minus 2 on the pole but it was just too short in the surf

this was common on a bunch of old thinner type girdle heads , if you over torque the girdle bolts it lifts the center of the head, kind of bends it over the cylinder , its true with dome heads as well
