Are there any hidden snags with replacing my 61x stator/flywheel combo with a new 62t stator/lightened flywheel? I assume it's no issue at all, but I don't want to waste my time if there's a "snake under a rock" sort of thing with switching hardware. I Haven't rec'd my new Epic ignition yet, but want to go ahead and install the stator/flywheel and have that out of the way. I'm running stock electrics on a big bore setup w/62t cases.

No, install just like any 96-up Superjet, the only thing that is different for the 96-up 62T stator is the white/red wire coming from the stator will have a female connector to use with a 62T CDI with male plug, if you use the MSD Enhancer, use a male-male jumper lead to plug in the Enhancer as it will have a female also for the white/red wire.

not to thread jack but its relevant

Has anyone installed an epic with a STOCK OEM 61x Stater and flywheel ?

i understand various aftermarket flywheel dont work but
Ive been told 61x is what they started with, but tested with the 62t, an enhancer works with either (just needs the male to male jumper),
so long as the stater matches the flywheel 61x-61x / 62t-62t what would be the issue
there both analog systems

danger...I asked the same question a few days ago on another thread and didn't get an answer. I contacted ATP and what they told me was to use the 62t setup, but never said don't use 61x pair. IDK???

Make sure you seal the stator plug to the cases with 1211 or similiar and then the gasket to the cases and to the flywheel cover.

Think of that area as another ebox which must be sealed up for surf battle.
