From what I've seen, they are all a bit wavy down the sides. I believe it's just the glass shrunk up over the years, not even an issue. Look up under the rail lips on each rear corner and see if you have cracks, also common. Another thing is usually they are bowed down some on the front hood...

Would rather not have the stock fiberglass one......I'd also rather not piss off everybody at the lake..... I'll keep it in mind.

The bearings themselves don't look discolored. See if a wire wheel takes the color off. If it does, then it was just the hot oil residue leaving the funky color deposited ONTO the rod.

Lots of jobs in my area with all the hours you want in the nursing field........my area is probably 60% or more elderly. Put it this way, our little town population is 13,000 in the city limits. We have like a dozen or more old folks assisted living places. No joke!

I've ridden them back to back and there IS a 'seat-of-the-pants' difference. Worth the effort if you have one laying around OR can buy one cheap. Otherwwise, don't bother with it.
