bk have you put your foot in my holds?
Brandon- if you want 25 mm padding and large enough footholds that you run that pad and still be able to pad the top so you have cushion all the way around your foot you may want to check these out...
I think you misunderstood my intended sarcasm was self directed. the egg would be on MY face when I am wrong lol. but I did get you to prove that you are using a popoff gauge and not just reading what the pop should be from a book. I have tried to help people before and they are just feeding...
had it happen on a few fx-1. no big deal, but I would heat it up and pull the whole thing and clean and reattach. dont use products from home depot to fix it either. make sure to trace the part where the glue is not squished out so you can replace it exactly and dont forget to align the motor...
watching the news it was like they were expecting tsunami or something. and they were just in a tizzy about the cat1 no no wait its a cat 2. pfft whatever. Im sure there are worse thunderstorms that roll thru than a cat 1.
now on the other hand I am glad that people were cautious and even...
not to be a smartass but tell me how you KNOW that your carb is tuned correctly. prove to us that it is and I will agree with you on the prop issue. I cant say how much that setback will change things but I can tell you that set normally it should be fine. so with the other pump in there it...
the fiberglass is the strength and the epoxy is the binder. you also will decrease any chance of pinholes leaking water into the hull. and the hull is what a little less than a 1/4 inch thick? you are gonna wanna beef up the hold and especially the bond between the hold and hull.
use 4lb...
I agree from the sounds of it he wants to buy the sx and is looking to see what he will be missing out on.
Don't do it. my first ski was a 650sx and I wasted years struggling to keep up with the sj's that everyone else was riding. I dont care if I never had to drop a dime in it or change a...
I am done moving the shop and have things under control pretty good now so its time to get back to finishing some things like the nose that I have started. planning on 2 versions one like the round where it will expose the cap and one to delete it.
D-roc you just pointed out the best reason for him to do it. all the best builders out there have to invent and then perfect their hulls. This would be the 3rd evolution of that ski. and im positive it will prove what will make the next mod even better as each incarnation reveals more to the...
by the way D-roc, I like this discussion we are having. I am trying to understand your position and am trying to help you understand how I see things. I dont consider my opinion to be worth anything other than just that, my opinion. I dont consider it to carry any weight for any reason. its...
I understand and agree with what you are saying. I also dread seeing certain new things being offered. especially when they are from unknown builders and priced to sell. always makes me wonder how much quality goes in if that is the price its offered at. I dont worry too much as one of two...
there is a kid a few doors down from me that has totally lost his mind and is intent on building a "tuner" car from a hyundai. the car is a pos and as he explained to me there are no aftermarket parts for hyundai. no cams no cranks no nothing. he is gonna buy a turbo and make that car a more...
weeellllllllllll since I am a no talent hack I think I am a perfect candidate to post my .02 here.
did anyone stop to think where all the great hull builders of today got their extensive knowledge and expertise to build a better sj? What school did they attend that focused on standup jetski...
wasnt it 227 that asked me to make it for him? thought I texted him and he said he was good? lol it was made after the foam shape he posted for me to work from.
post 14 pics are shaved down a little more. the carbon is for my lowered hood I dont think it would work with a stock hood to well.
I was told to make it line up with the stock hood, ditch the holes and just ramp it down. my first plug he said was still a little too tall at the top and center so I dropped it and that is what I ended up with. also fabbed hardware to it so you dont have to drill and put a screw thru it.
