my feeling is they are selling sbt motors. their warranty is almost a cut and paste, could be just a standard warranty and they both use the same one. but honestly I know sbt aggresively bought or put the competition out of business. like pmc. not saying nobody could compete but I have a hard...
I do it slightly different. I take the carbs and lay them in the side, you should def do a rebuild. same for the oil pump. if you plug the lines so the oil doesnt leak out you can pop them back on later. you also want to make sure one of those lines didnt fall off and that the pump actually...
guys post that dirk, waterdwq and 24-7 (ericson) are swell guys- do you believe that also? lots of guys say lots of things. is everybody right? I posted and you dont believe me. Have you called Chucky to check your facts? If he doesnt give you the answer you like will you be calling other...
like I said, proper alignment, oh and you have to clean your ski well too if you ride salt. James, you are on a mission- I get it- oem carrier bearings and couch mounts are a must for you. just wondering how the other 99.9% manage to get by?
Really? I have worked on the mach II on a number of skis and never had any problems. I like em. maybe not as much as a factory but about 3/4 or 7/8th as much. What else can you find? what else can be had for as cheap? I vote it the best low buck pipe.
you willing to bet the motor on it?
air and or a magnet. I have a telescoping one the size of a pen. even has a nifty little collar on it to keep it from sticking to everything. you can pull the sleeve back to expose the whole end but then you have to play keep away from the crank. what can...
you need to take a look at 227 tubbie mod in the front, it might fit in this build just right. I like the idea and am planning on doing a set like these. If you like I can send you a thin version of my tubbies to make it easy to section and fit to your hull. Ican even do em with no gelcoat...
nobody suggested making your own footholds they said to make your own patterns for the whole sheet of hyrdroturf. if you take some paper or carboard you can make a patern of the tray pieces and transfer that to the sheet and cut your own turf. its not hard and saves you a bunch and if you take...
it looks like someone poured some resin it there. that is why its cracking. notice how the factory stuff is thin and you can see the fiberglass cloth just under the surface? there its really thick and I cant make out any cloth in it at all. could just be the pic but it seems like someone has...
also dont forget that the bearing carrier can wear out and you will suck air into the pump from the hull. this will get worse until the ski no longer moves at all. make sure the rubber is not seperating from the aluminum.
I think you willl have to bore the cylinder and install new larger sleeves and pistons. unless someone makes a slightly oversize sleeve. no easy way around it. First follow matts advise.
you keep saying mig, you know you cant weld aluminum with a mig or rather you will also need the spool gun attachment and while that works its not ideal. Tig is what you would need.
