it got that bad because my coupler broke and was spewing hot salt water for like 4 rides......i didn't think it was as bad as it was so i planned on polishing it out but.......no way.

so i took it to my buddie who hooks me up on powder-coating and asked if he could do it in charcoal. we got to talking and he says he can ceramic coat too. I'm like sick lets do that, how much........$40!

stoked, pipes gonna look ill!

so i went down to Chris's casa to get this build buttoned up and man did we make some progress!!!

got the e box wired up, stator and flywheel installed, stator hooked up, starter installed, hooker and wear ring installed, exhaust mani and intake mani installed, 46 blackjack installed, motors ready to be dropped in:headbang:
ran into some problems with the throttle plate with the ATP mani so i started a new thread : http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/51424

so hopefully w get some answers!

pump is installed and shimmed into place. butch sold me the pump with and extra wear ring explaining that the ring that is on it was shot so he hooked me up with a "newish" extra ring. well we put the new ring on and taadaa its swollen........ the prop gets caught in one place and Chris says it has maybe 10 rides left until its done. he also said to magic marker the whole ring and dremel out the high spot on the ring for a temporary fix.

its coming together! I'm going back to Chris's on Tuesday to do some more work. my "homework" until than is; cut the screws from the tubbies, dermal the wear ring, DE-grease the engine compartment, ummmmm something else that i cant think of at the moment......

here's a pick of my goodies

i wanna give a big shout out to Chris. this build would be no-where with out him.....great guy and a great help. THANKS BROTHA:Banane01:

it gets fresh paint next monday the guy who is doing it had to replace an engine in one of his cars so he is doing that this week and when he is done with that the garage will be all ready for my ski :) we had to mar glass the whole bottom so that it would look like new :)

I know i dont know if it will be ready i am thinking if i really want to go i can take the 650 lol. If i miss it is all good i am going there this summer to ride the dunes and to ride skis with friends so it all good i rather not rush through putting it back together since it is my first time doing this. There is alway next year. Just take a crap load of pictures :)

its not the same...

just slap your ski back together...

i can already tell you after about 6 months or riding you're gonna regret spend all that time and effort into painting the ski... its just gonna get jacked up. Time and money that should have been spent elsewhere.

Just my honest opinion and one of many other people around.

I honestly have not spent that much time on it and it is already preped and ready to go i have just been waiting on my painter and he has all the paints that i am going to use so i am not spending too much money which is really nice :)
Quick question the dakine foot straps what is better to have those or foot holds?
I was just going to go with the straps in the back for now as a temp.
What do you think?

just depends on the type of riding you want to do in the future... surf riding and re-entries, straps are a must, but if you want to concentrate on nose stabs, barrel rolls, back flips, then you might want to go with holds.
