I know you guys were happy about that!!

Great to see lead foot Derek out there too. LOL

I recall it breaking within the inlet on a few occasions, but I do not remember it coming it clear across like that; might be mistaken, but it seemed like it was only on the north side. That must have been something! Loved the last song you chose Matt!

I never rode Del Mar, but Cody took me there a few times for surf (it wasn’t that big when he was out though). I snapped many pics there, but I do not recall seeing the jetty at all. That looked really nice!! Great vid, and I do wish you guys had managed more of Derek, for I’ve seen him tear some waves up with that B1 !! :)

Del Mar Jetty refers to the Jetty wall on the North side of Oceanside Harbor. It gets its name from Camp Pendleton Del Mar area, not Del Mar, Ca. :) I too wish there would have been some more B1 video.

Finally, that explains it! I lost count of how many times I watched this to try to figure it out (and listen to the music, ‘til I found both Myspace pages, lol).

This is funny: watch 2:47-55:
2:47 (9:00 o’clock/brief moment) looks like a jetty, instead of a wall of wave (in part because of the previous edit breaks). Well, continue on to 51-55 (low and behold appears “another” jetty, the north side)! It made it look as if 2:47-55 was being filmed from within the mouth of the inlet, and I was like ...

lol, John had told me it only goes off like that maybe five times a year, so I’ve been really lucky all times!

Btw, I like the paint on your ski. :)

I just watched it again this morning (and enjoyed it just as much). It still looks like that one segment is within the inlet to me!! Maybe it was coming in clear across like that on our way in, but as mentioned, I do not really recall. I'm just going to have to come back out there I guess!!
