If you're running an Advent you likely won't be able to crank your motors with this. A better bet (for Advent and TL), although more expensive would be Deka's smaller batteries. Here are their available batteries in the size range for our skis and specs (the EXT16/16L are the most common heavy ones a lot of us use):

I just borrowed my neighbors scale and a stock hood with all hardware and a fire extinguisher weighs 21 1/2lbs and my WDK comes in at 14lbs.

I thought it was more but it is enough for sure. The boat floats better now.


Needless to say I am very curious what a little tiny $27 battery is capable of. That is a no brainer if it works.

I got mine from Team Scream when I was down there, but more locally, Napa sells them.

I switched to Deka after going through Oddysseys every year to Deka and so far so good.

Man now I want a light weight battery! I'm on a mission.

I'm going to weigh all of my batts and see whats up. If they are all pretty heavy I'm gonna try (at least) a 7lb jetworks batt.

If 7lbs off of my hood made my ski that much quicker then what will another few lbs. do??

30 would be insane!!! Even on a mild motor I bet!

I have already defoamed/refoamed. Plus the hood plus the new batt I will be getting.
