How do you like the front exhaust only? I rode a ski with it and noticed that the engine would lose some power in turns that submerge the exhaust fitting.

I don't have that issue... It's a 2.5" ID exit, so it would be tough to cause backpressure like that... I think

Damn!! That thing is SMALL! That equals the weight we cut by switching to a 500$ WDK hood!!!
For $27 bones!!!!

:banghead: Not to ruin your day Mat, but you would be lucky to have saved 2lbs with that hood. A stocker is only 15lbs without fire ext. WDK hood is about 13-14lbs.

When Trinity gets his hood out there, then you can save 8lbs or so on a hood. And it will be well worth the xtra cash.

My friend had a little custom battery tray fabbed up for a tiny battery like that. He used it for quite a while, then switched back to standard battery tray and bigger battery.

He might still have the tray. I'll see. Maybe he'll want to get rid of it.

for a guy like you who does freestyle on flat, it would be an easy way to lose 12lbs for a routine... If you want a little more weight for surf, throw the 16lb batt. in there and go... It cranks the hell out of my ski... I have a backup batt. I will be bringing w/ me in case of problems... I will update w/ any issues I have w/ it.

It cost 27$ +tax and it's sealed... I put it on the meter and it was reading 13v-14v...

I got it at WalMArt :banghead:

Cool. I can see it helping in flat or surf.... Less weight is less weight !
BRAP !

:biggthumpup:exactly! :brap:

NOTE: This battery will work fine on any charging system setup.

It will not last very long with total loss!!! It cranked over a 910cc polaris with Total Loss no problem, but only lasted about 15 minutes "non charging system".... but I dont think it was fully charged either,

Im using a 5lb battery from advance Aiscount Auto parts.

No issues, untill you get water ingestion, then just have a big backup battery on the beach.

that is a fat exhaust:bigeyes:

I am done with walmart batteries, period. I rip the terminals off too much. Plus, although i still shop there:sneaky:, I try not to because they are the biggest non-union employer in the U.S. (at least, that's what I've been told)
My buddy got me a new Interstate battery that is a sealed dry cell. I haven't tried it out in the water yet, but it cranks over my new motor easily.

There is another option..... Its a Lightweight 7lb battery.... It has the same cranking amps as a standard 16lb battery.... Bobby showed me them, I will find out who made them..... I believe Freedom Avation is using six of them in a plane..... I think they are around $150..... they even offer one with a Carbon shell, for even less weight, but I bet its realy pricey.

I can replace my batt 4 times for that much money....

sounds like a very nice batt though...

You are WAY off. My stocker with fire extinguisher was 22.lbs roughly. This is 12lbs. It is night and day on my skis performance.

Thats why I said without fire ext..... who the hell would leave that stupid arse thing in there anyways. :banghead:

So pull the fire ext. out of a stock hood, and now you have a lightweight hood  :haha: :haha:
