I tried one of the 4lb Advance Auto batteries in my wifes WR3 first, and it killed it after trying to start it on the trailer. It usually took about 10 to 15 seconds to start with the choke on, but I thought the battery would last longer than that. I was able to recharge it after that, but never used it again.

Yeah.... I by no means endorse this setup at this point.... The batt could fail miserably and not do what I need....

I'm hopeful though...

if your starter and cables are in good shape this battery will do just fine.if your starting system has high resistance anywhere then you will kill this batt quick

my old cables which looked to be in ok shape would kill a battery by the end of the day.the cable ends would get VERY hot.i put in all new oem cables and this mini bat and no issues since

I've got a stocker kicking around in my garage. I'll throw it on the scale tonight.

you just need one that measures more than 1oz

LMAO:biggthumpup:

I just borrowed my neighbors scale and a stock hood with all hardware and a fire extinguisher weighs 21 1/2lbs and my WDK comes in at 14lbs.

I thought it was more but it is enough for sure. The boat floats better now.

Needless to say I am very curious what a little tiny $27 battery is capable of. That is a no brainer if it works.
