    The mag is one of the last upgrades I would recommend, it is a good upgrade, but there are many things that should come before you go to a mag. I love what my setback mag has done for my ski, but it's got a ton of other mods.

    Attach both sides of the switch to your tester leads. It should read open, or very high resistance.When the button it's pressed, it should go to zero or nearly zero resistance. It's been a while, it might be completely opposite of that, but the testing would be the same.

    I like to go to Facebook to set up rides, etc, and there are plenty of good deals on parts from locals and people who don't want to ship parts - it usually makes it worth while to at least check them out.

    Epoxy bottom of hull??

    Resin by itself gets very brittle too - add some gel coat. You can brush it on as well.
