Have you tried the "old" starter in another ski just to rule out issues? It sounds like you've done everything else. Is it possible that your new battery is not good? I've heard of new batteries coming in as junk (never experienced it though).
Edit: Did you jump it with a known good battery...
EME Micro! ;)
Seriously though, the age limit is a real killer for getting kids started early. 12 is the limit in AZ, that was one of the many reasons I brought my family down to the desert. Both of my kids have been riding solo since they were 7-8 though, and were catching rides with me on...
The 650sx nozzle measures out at 83mm across, and has vanes. It's slightly oval shaped so it's more like an 82 or 81.5mm bore if you really want to get down to the nitty gritty. They work well for a little extra bottom end too.
Rolled ankle that twisted my knee and my hip, I'm still recovering from that one - 8 weeks and still not ready to run (but I've been out riding)... one piece of advice - stay in shape fellas, stay in shape.
I had a cut up x2 trim on my ski, but switched out to a Skat recentely - night and day difference in both handling and feel. SOLID. This may be a good alternative, but is still pricey...
Although I live in AZ, and will most likely never find myself on these waters, I strongly urge all of my fellow riders to go and post on this website and gently persuade the people who are proposing the new regulations to kindly rethink their preconceived bias towards PWC.
Here are my hastily...
"GFNMS regulations prohibit the operation of all motorized personal watercraft (MPWC), except for emergency search and rescue missions or law enforcement operations (other than routine training activities) carried out by the National Park Service, U.S. Coast Guard, Fire or Police Departments or...
ODI's are the way to go - no other grips out there compare. You can get them for $15 shipped now and then, if you keep an eye out, and they are easier than gluing on grips and twisting up wire to hold them in place.
I can't add any info to the weight category, but did check out the Ski Clinic Hurricane hulls out at Parker a few weeks ago. They are super clean and insanely light... like under 50 lbs light. Jr. had his pro hull that was on it's 2nd season of riding, and it didn't have any noticeable stress...
Rough estimating, I'd say 50-60 hours a year, but that is a total guess. 2x a week most of the year, one week day after work (30 min - 2 hours), and one weekend ride (usually 2-4 hours). Arizona, where there is no ice, except in the cooler.
I'd say 350.00 roughly. You can get a good one for that price from time to time, but they usually go for 450. Yours may not take much to get the screws freed up.
I went out and pulled off my first attempt at a back flip!
I've been attempting to recreate that moment ever since. Plenty of failed flips and rolls, my EME is still looking pretty fresh (has some gel stress cracks) and rides great. The thing is built like a tank with carbon and glass, but...
