Custom/Hybrid Anybody running a 150mm+ Skat pump on a Kawi

Anybody running a Skat SB Kawi pump with a diameter larger than 150mm? I have heard of 152, 155, 158,160. Any problems or difficult mods to install them?

I did it on my Vengeance Hull. I had to cut it up pretty good and modify a lot of stuff. I haven't finished the build yet, but it very was time consuming. The nice thing is now I can run whatever motor I want though. If your good with epoxy and filler its probably not that bad, I'm a beginner and learned a lot. I used mostly West Systems stuff and cabisol/chopped fiberglass.

I hope it floats, a bit heavier in the rear with the pump and mods!! I must say, you guys that do this stuff make it look a lot easier than it is. If I knew how to make a mold it would be nice, but its not perfect. Overallt , it was a lot of hard work and a lot of cash in supplies but a lot of fun too, (doesn't hurt to try and learn).

I got some new stickers coming labeled "VENGEANCE + R"- per Super head +R. I just can't afford a new hull so I had to modify mine, hope it helps.

Glad to hear the intake area is done. I have GP 1200 (65u) nozzle trim set up (I have the maxx pump though). Skat should be able to make it to what ever nozzle you want , though. The GP nozzles are nice and cheap, my style!! I think its 87mm reduction and 91mm exit nozzle, don't quote me on it though.

Skat made my prop, great guys!! Glen is a straight shooter and knows his stuff, I will be using them for life. I just didn't have $2300 to dump on a pump at the time, So I went to the Maxx , another great seller too (l'll use him for life too). The custom prop was around $400, so it wasn't that much cheaper, but I didn't have all the money at the time. Also, I think the Skat is pressed in and the Maxx is one piece, not sure if it matters.

I'm only running a Skat 145, but wanted to clarify - it is a solid stainless unit, vanes welded in.

Glen said that is a made from a mold and that is the biggest you can get as a one piece pump. I don't think there is a demand to makee a different mold due to pump tunnel size.

The 145 is nice, nothing wrong with that.

What size is your pump? 155?
Has it got a 75mm or 83mm hub?

155mm with a 75mm hub, 160 has the 83mm. You might be able to add another sleeve for the trim. I've seen a long drill bit some where, or just cut open the tray and reuse the plug you cut out. Pretty easy to do.
