I just finished the rough cut of my 62t cases to match my DASA transfer areas. I thoroughly prepped the water jackets on the cases, then filled them with Devcon. Everything looks and feels really well matched to the cylinder (test fit, mark, re-work, test fit, mark, rework). My first concern...

I loved my Hooker 10/16, but wished it would have had a little more down low - 9/15 would be my choice. I ran a Skat 9/17 for the first few months I had the ski set up, it was OK but the Hooker made a nice difference.

Siphon bilge is... OK at best. One sub every 3-4 minutes and you might be OK. I recommend an electric bilge for sure. Squares take on a lot of water when subbing.

I'm not a huge fan of the way you have to get to the ride spot in O-side, but damn, that surf is nice.

That isn't an FX1... It might have started as one, but I wouldn't call it one anymore. Trying to be a "sleeper" with those graphics.

I've squeezed a stock RN box in my Q8, it was a TIGHT fit with the 550 fuel tank though.

The ATP waterbox fits fine. It's small and light, and sounds awesome. The TDR fits nice too, but it is a tad louder... not cool for small lakes with homes on them, or early morning rides, in my opinion.

Pop off works in conjunction with your low speed screw. Don't lose faith in your mechanic. if I had more time I would explain more. But I am at work. Google is your friend, and so is Xh2o. I'm sure there will be more advice soon.

I got away with just dialing in the high and low a bit on my ski up at 5k. I ride at 1.4k normally. You may have to adjust pop off too.

Get a Superjet, they are a great hull that is fairly versatile and new rider friendly as well.

Shonuff has one set up on an SXR, I believe. My Skat nozzle is similar, it is really just as simple as user_error says - drill, fill and go! Just watch out for other tubes in your path as you drill - that could be a recipe for trouble.

You get extra style points if you yell "I'd f*ck me!" as you do it.

If you like the lightweight of the 550, but want more power for your own ride, get an FX1. You can probably find one right at the top of your range.
