My idea was to actually install the flaps in the hood air intakes,the drawback being you would have to disconnect and reconnect the hose when you remove the hood each time,a quick disconnect should make this fairly simple.

I believe he is referring to the rear hub,on some bikes it is rubber dampened,it takes some of the shock out of the drivetrain as you are accelerating decelerating and shifting gears,I wouldn't see it as being a cost effective modification .

Only if I we are planning to attend the same freeride are they scared of me,anyone can be ten foot tall and bulletproof behind a keyboard,doesn't work out that way in real life though.I am not immune ,just really good at jumping the razors edge.

Anything you put into the exhaust will cause a restriction,use an exhaust scupper like River rat is coming out with to seal off the exhaust .

I am so used to seeing Superjet posts that I failed to look at the section,more than likely it is the stator ,I have replaced many of them.

I have mentioned something like this before,why not run it off of engine vacumm,when the engine is running vacumm pulls the air intake doors open,when it dies they close,no excess current draw,no switches or solenoids to break.The pulse can be turned into vacumm by using a one way valve in the line.

Try a new set of spark plug boots first,the stockers go bad over time and cause weak spark,I replace them with NGK boots
