i don't know much about the electrical system either, but i do know the stator does have to be connected in order for the ski to fire. if it is unplugged the start and stop switch does nothing... so most likely something is wrong with your stator.

a bonzia pump conversion and new factory pipe will push him over the $1000 limit, but I agree, if you do those two, you'll love that boat. It might even be worth it to do the pump conversion first.

i have a stock hose that has been cut to length for a MOD chamber. if you are using the limited, you can trim it shorter. $20 shipped with hose clamps.

either way, i bet your hood keeps more water out than my crappy one does. probably plays a role.
