I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

brand new carb internals include N&S. i do need to test the pop off. Been meaning to order a gauge, just haven't done it yet. Rode again this morning after adjusting a few things and the ski runs sufficient enough for me until i get an engine built. thanks for the advice everyone.

I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

i didn't think the chambers made that much of a difference per the knowledge given to me by Art. Ski felt the same even with my solas prop. But you are all right, if I want it perfect, I need to take it to Art. As stated before, I don't think it warrants the +- $200 it would cost for me to...

    Help Me diagnose my problem

i don't believe you would feel a difference in the water temperature at the pisser no matter how much you alter the headpipe settings. the water being injected into the pipe goes out the exhaust. I don't think a screw change would cause your problem. Might have an air leak in a fuel line...

so do you mean that it sputtered then ran clean for the rest of the day? or that every time you let off the throttle, then grab throttle again, it sputters?

I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

compression is even and has not dropped since I have owned it. unless it changed in the last month. And I guess to clarify, the engine feels just as strong as when I first started running it, it just doesn't compare well it Geoff's ski.

best tool for sanding before reinforcement?

a tool like that will work great for the sides, but up in nose, nothing seemed to work well besides my bare hands with some nice gritty sand paper.

I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

I was waiting for that... the power difference doesn't warrant a 100 mile drive both ways x2.

I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

From what I have read chambers make more of a difference when the head pipe is tunned for top end, so I don't think a swap would be necessary. Head pipes are tunned the same, same water line routing, same in line restriction. Don't really have the ability to check timing.

I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

I have been talking to Art at jetworks about this, but I just thought I'd write a post to see what you all thought also. Bluegtate and I have practically identical setups with the exception that he has V Force II's reeds and I have V Force I's. He also has a limited chamber while I have a...
