I have a 62t case ported 701 61x with the adapter and a single carb mani. Runs great. Using a 44 since it's only 701. Maybe a 46 or novi 48 single would be an option for your setup
A little tricky to get it in the right spot. Mines a hair too far forward but it's nice having it there for some surf slashing where my foot doesn't have to be locked in it. Adjustable foot strap is the bomb. Way more comfortable than the rickter holds. If you kick into it you really lock in...
I'm gonna cut down the stinger. I originally wanted to have the tailgate open and be able to put a ski on the hauler and one in the bed. If I take off the tailgate quick I'll be able to cut it down and still fit 2 skis.
My ricKter doesn't use a bow eye due to the rocker nose. I don't want one...
I can ride a bone stock superjet in the surf as long as I don't try to do anything but surf waves. From small to overhead surf you can ride with a totally stock ski if you know what you are doing.
Once you start crashing or trying anything other than a little bit of re entry, small nose...
Mine cost $42 in materials for the 2x2 1/4 thick trailer stock and 2 feet of 1/4 angle. I had 3/16 angle iron for the perimeter and trex composite boards lying around for bunks. Took me 2+ hours labor to make it 100% ready for powder coat, first time making one, setting up welder/gas all other...
RTF taco bell Thursdays started last night. Waves were alright, a little windy. 2 rickters got towed back to the gas spot by some superjets. One rickter got towed back to the ramp, lol @DirtyDirtson. Everyday riding is a good day!
I rode a spark in 3-4ft clean surf and it was pretty good considering I hate couches. I'm pretty sure it was the 90 hp model. If it had a set of bars on it that were a little taller and closer reach it would be even better both sitting and standing. I think they sell a bunch of stuff worx was...
I bought OCD cables and i never heard my starter spin so fast!
Make sure your cases aren't painted where you bolt on your starter. Get them down to metal so it makes good ground connection. Starter ears too. Cant be painted.
Why are you running a 120 cca battery? Your lightweight is licoriceing...
Take out your motor and turn your midshaft coupler left and right with your hand. Put the ski on a shop stand so you can reach under and hold the driveshaft, or have someone hold it for you. I guarantee you will feel a small amount of movement between your midshaft female splines and your male...
So if I'm out casually riding doing backflips and barrel rolls in the surf and I crash off the thing resulting in it sinking who's fault is it? You guys are really going to pay for my $15,000 ski?
i built a 650 last year for my brother and bought a 15* for it after researching a bit. Worked great both in the surf and on glassy water. fresh stock rebuilt motor with sbt crank and pro x pistons, full exhaust, westcoast intake and sbn44.
