Boxes are overrated. If its a pure salt 100% use and you don't wash your ski, they have merit. If its a normal app, proper wiring and maintenance is all you need.

They worked very well on my 62T platform. Haven't run them on a 61x. If I recall the 61x motor had boyesons. I think you're splitting hairs here. Reeds are a small increase......you may notice it, but one over the other wont make or break your setup.
