SXR Wet Pipe Blown Coupler Question

That's a good question. Everything wears, most of the failures are from overheating though. I couldn't tell you how many gallons or hours were to be expected out of a coupler. Take a look at yours, see how the red is visible on the chamber side and the orangish residue on the clamp, that one...

SXR Wet Pipe Blown Coupler Question

Nah, Jetworks valve is installed down exhaust far enough to not effect the temp of that coupler. If you just installed the pipe, I'd say you just didn't have the pipe tuned cool enough and it over heated. If it has never been a problem in the past, then my guess (if you haven't changed...

    Custom/Hybrid Planning a PFP waterbox build...cause I'm cheap

Hmmm, interesting. It sure contradicts what they advertise (of course they are trying to sell you something). "When drawn over heated aluminum, HTS-2000 penetrates the aluminum oxide, creating a molecular bond that is stronger than the original commercial aluminum. Electrochemical corrosion...

    Custom/Hybrid Planning a PFP waterbox build...cause I'm cheap

Just got my system yesterday and mocked it up. I tell ya, that resonator fits in my hull so well, I'm half tempted to just run it for now and worry about building a box later. If I do build it, I will have to build my adapter to go from my Kawi cyl to the PFP (no Rad Dudes, I don't want to...

Freestyle Giro Remedy vs Shred Ready Helmet Comparison (Pictures)

I was about to pull the trigger on one not that long ago, but read reviews about them being not very comfortable. Please give this thing a few rides and report back!

Who knows, he might have come home one day and it was gone from his driveway. But you might be right as well.

If it was repoed and the sold at auction or bank owned sale, then sold to you, it's yours. You shouldn't have much to worry about, but keep us updated. Sucks to have to go through stuff like this, but it's life.

SXR bent gap on sxr spark plug????????

On a stock ski, you really shouldn't NEED premium. If everything under the head looks good, I'd check fuel filter, make sure it's not plugged, check the little filter screen in each carb, check that no air is getting into your fuel line (a loose line can cause air to be sucked in making your...

SXR bent gap on sxr spark plug????????

It could be something broken in there, pull the head to make sure. Is the ski moded in any way? Preignition/detonation can cause this, then you have to figure out why; lean, not high enough octane, or ignition issue.

    SXR Hood weight reduction question.

Oops, I guess I do have some brackets, the hood hooks is it, however I've now trimmed the hood so the hooks and brackets don't work. I'm currently investigating hood retaining methods. I'm going to give WDK a call and ask about his front latch from the Envy (ROK as well?). I also checked out...

    Custom/Hybrid Planning a PFP waterbox build...cause I'm cheap

The water that is in there creates mass and dampens the noise, in general, the larger the box, the quieter the ski (dependent upon design of course). Your exhaust system is adding water to cool the exhaust and dampen noise. With these PFP systems, they lay mostly horizontal, not nearly as much...

    Custom/Hybrid Planning a PFP waterbox build...cause I'm cheap

Good point. Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll simplify it by making it a 2 baffle vertical setup. I'll play with that when I have a bit more time on my hands. Thanks. Very typical for many things I do. The angled outlet is so I could make the outlet one piece without any miters...
