The back of the hood is extended a bit to allow more air in. There is enough room between the hood and liner for air in.

Its pretty low. The handle pole bracket needs to go down 5/8" to 3/4" to make the hood and pole flow right. The pole is a - 4". Big K that is Jonnys old race ski.
