Just a update. Some progress on the upper, Half is roughed out in tooling mud. Now I need to template and match other side. I need to finish out upper and mold, then liner. I'm making more time to push on the sj. The upper is there to play of the hood lines for upper mold. The lower I need to...
Yes, Jeremy Parr and I are working together to come up with the best possible setup from a pro riders point of view. I started the hood and got slammed with evo builds, plus what has to be done for world finals. Heres the plan. Finish the hood, tool footholds and a ride plate. Then upper deck...
I haven't spent enough time on one in rough water to say. Plus I'm not the best to test thats Jonnys and Joshs job. Jonny says it is, he said its flickable like a sj and stable like the sxr . Also says the ski is easier to setup for turning. Less weight to lay over, and less weight to right as...
Excactly, plus there affordable and light. That is what I want within a year when I have some spare time. Get some of that Neptune dust sprinkled over the engine and hold on. I will call it a Sea-Saki.:Banane35:
I make the bed plates to fit a specific engine of choice. All hulls have bedplates ready to bolt in the engine. There is composite plates in Joshs ski for the polaris setup. Composite plates are a little lighter, there are manufactured sheets that are pressed and heat cured so they pretty dense...
My stock kawi 800 sxr was 165 lbs. I've heard of some pushing 175lbs. EVO PRO is 66 lbs to 73 lbs. EVO XF 88 lbs to 92 lbs. It varies with the options of foot holds, foam, and different engines determine the amount of metal for hardpoints. Also the hoods range from 8.6 lbs to 9.1 lbs to 10.4 lbs...
Thanks for the good word. All those engines will fit in the hull. I'm more than happy to show pics of these skis. That way at least people have some idea of what goes into the hulls. I have no secrets for showing what is right and materials used, nothing to hide. As for the contracts the guys...
Finished, leaves tomorrow. Final weight is 92.1 lbs. That is hull, rideplate, pump intake, foam, footholds, mounts and plumbing. The owner has started a build thread on pwc today for info and pics of the build as it is completed.
$995.00 It is built using carbon, kevlar, and epoxy. No cheap stuff and is vac. bagged. Comes as you see it with a oem hood seal and hardware for the front clips. Hood comes in primer on the outside. NO GEL COAT ANYWHERE.
Sorry for that. The sj hood is idle right now. I'm building a lot of skis for one guy and a part time helper. Since January at Datona I have sold 5 skis and 15 hoods. I've just started the 4th one with 2 more to build before october. The 6th one is Josh's scheduled to be done by Aug. 8th. So its...
