the lines job isto catch the oil coming down the transfers ports when the engine is sitting when you have crankcase compression the oil goes through the bearings and out that hole thats why i jbweld up the line to give a smoother flow on the transfer port

They used to make a 6 vein replacement pump as well it was better than the stock pump you used to see them for sale on ebay
